One of the interesting things of teaching others is that it means reflecting on your own practice too. I usually start drawing right away, and this has its value because often it brings me to unexpected results. It also comes natural to me to just follow forms with a pen on paper as an aid to my eyes, but on more than one occasion I came to regret some choices and decided to start all over again.
So I’m doing it by the book this time and build up my drawing from essential shapes and tones to more detailed lines and composition.
And at last, this is the final drawing!
